Fit for Kids' Sake! provides information to help motivate and inspire parents to get fit for the sake of their children.   The content provided is delivered from fitness and nutrition experts to parents who are passionate about making a difference and helping other make a healthy lifestyle change!

Dina Skulte is the Founder of Fit for Kids’ Sake! and is also the Creator of International Fitness Day, the day for everyone around the world to celebrate Health & Fitness.

Dina is passionate about healthy living and also living life to its fullest (yes... you can do both); learning from each life experience and others; and sharing any nuggets of wisdom learned along the way to hopefully enrich other’s lives through her motivational speaking.

Dina didn't always live a healthy lifestyle.  Prior to July 2009, Dina's weight had peaked at 207 lbs.  She blogs about her journey toward healthy living at www.fitforkidssake.blogspot.com and provides healthy lifestyle tips and recipes in the Fit for Kids' Sake! Weekly Newsletter. 

Dina is a Certified IBNFC Nutrition Coach.  She works full-time as a marketing consultant.   Dina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University in Toronto.

Bonnie Taub-Dix is a national spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association and Director and Owner of BTD Nutrition Consultants with offices on Long Island and in New York City. She is a specialist in behavior and lifestyle modification, nutritional psychotherapy, obesity and weight management.

Ms. Taub-Dix is a regular guest on national television and radio programs and in the press, providing practical advice on healthy living to publications such as The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, and WebMD and shows including CNN, CBS Early Show, ABC’s Good Morning America, FOX 5 News, and The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet. Reporters seek her opinion because of her ability to intelligently cut through the often-conflicting medical studies and the ever-shifting trends in dieting. She’s worked with The Discovery Channel and Lifetime TV as an on-air consultant for several nationally broadcast shows As a consultant to Cartoon Network, she collaborated on designing a program for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regarding food labeling for children. As a liaison between industry and the public, she holds a position on the Editorial Advisory Boards of Family Circle Magazine and Environmental Nutrition Newsletter. In 2003, she was named “Outstanding Nutrition Entrepreneur of the Year” by the American Dietetic Association, and the following year she received the New York State Dietetic Association’s Media Excellence Award.

As president of BTD Nutrition Consultants for 3 decades, Taub-Dix counsels individuals (including many celebrities) and groups. She is an advisor to major corporations, law firms and fitness clubs, setting up wellness programs and conducting seminars. With a great passion for and understanding of food science, she displays her creativity in modifying recipes and designing menus for restaurants and is the co-author of Kosher By Design Lightens Up (Artscroll 2008), a book that blends the science of nutrition and tradition of home cooking..

Taub-Dix is a prolific writer on issues related to nutrition for both popular and professional publications. She writes a weekly blog for USA Today and is a regular contributor for MSNBC.com. For two and a half years, she wrote a column called “Fitness Prescription” for Newsday, and her articles and quotes have also appeared in Life, Health, Vogue, Shape, Fitness, Reader’s Digest, Weight Watcher’s, Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food, Ladies’ Home Journal, Prevention, Women’s Day, and Men’s Health, just to name a few. She was a consultant to, and was quoted in, books such as Nutrition for Dummies, Cholesterol for Dummies , and The Only 127 Things you Need, and she has written chapters for textbooks including Weight Management: A Practical Guide (American Dietetic Association), The Entrepreneurial Nutritionist (Helm Press), and Nutrition Concerns of Women (CRC Press).

Taub-Dix has played a prominent role in health-related organizations, serving as a board or committee member for the Nutrition Committee of the American Heart Association, the Governor’s Council on Osteoporosis, the North American Ensure Health Care Professionals Advisory Board, and the Bean Expert Advisory Network. Taub-Dix received her BS in Clinical and Community Dietetics from Downstate Medical Center and her MA in Nutrition from New York University.

Jessica Smith is a certified wellcoach and fitness lifestyle expert, Jessica coaches clients, health professionals and wellness related companies, helping them to “find the fitness within.” The star of several exercise DVDs, Jessica is a featured trainer for PUSH, Exercise TV and Seventeen Magazine. She has also been highlighted in fitness marketing campaigns for NISSAN, Subway and Lucille Roberts. She can currently be seen on specially marked boxes of Kellogg© Special K© products as fitness expert for 10 Minute Solution and is featured host of the accompanying workout DVD insert.

With 10 years of experience in the industry, Jessica consults both individuals and corporations on developing, marketing and positioning their health and fitness business brands. Jessica has worked for companies such as SONY Pictures Entertainment and Crystal Cruise Lines.

Jessica is the creator of http://www.livinginthin.com/ - an online community source for women looking to get their whole life in shape. A featured coach and wellness expert on ivillage's http://www.neversaydiet.com/, she has appeared on “The View”, “FOX and Friends”, MSNBC, VH1, ABC News, and in publications such as Shape, SELF, Fitness, Cosmopolitan, Glamour and The Wall Street Journal. Currently, Jessica teaches for Equinox Fitness Clubsand the Sports Club/LA and is part of the exercise and movement team for Canyon Ranch in Miami Beach.

With a BA in Communications from Fordham University, Jessica holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America the International Sports and Conditioning Association, Powerhouse Pilates (in both mat & reformer method), Martial Fusion and Johnny G’s SPINNING™ Program. 

Amie Hoff is founder of Hoff Fitness LLC and co-founder of Life² LLC and the FitKit line of health improvement products.

Hoff is an in-demand NYC based fitness professional, dedicated to improving the lives of people around the world through better health. She thrives as a motivator, and is committed to being a role model, sharing her expert fitness and health knowledge with as many people as possible. Amie is a successful personal trainer, working with clients to enhance their lives through fitness, nutrition and lifestyle transformation. She provides advice tailored for each individual, finding what works for their specific body type and preference. She inspires her clients to new levels of fitness while introducing fresh techniques and advancements developed from across the health and fitness industry. She has been twice voted Best Personal Trainer by Allure Magazine.

Amie is frequently called on to provide health and fitness tips on TV, radio and in the local, national and global press. Her guest appearances include spots on ABC, CBS, NBC and CNBC and Good Morning America. As fitness expert, Amie has been featured in all of the major health magazines, such as Shape, Fitness and

Women's Health, as well as the New York Times, Washington Post and Newsweek. Amie was the exclusive personal trainer on the first season 'Making the Band', an MTV series with P Diddy.

Amie's goal is to actively move the fitness industry forward. She works extensively with New York Sports Clubs, generating and implementing creative ideas to keep the world of fitness fresh and innovative. She has partnered with AKA Hotels as fitness consultant to their guests, and serves on Advisory Boards for health magazines and websites. Amie works directly with various groups and corporations, providing consulting services to support internal wellness efforts.

Amie exemplifies what dedication to fitness means. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she has competed in 100 mile cycle rides, triathlons, biathlons and the Eco Challenge, a 7day outdoor adventure race. Amie is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is trained in pre/post natal, eating disorder, and sports specific training, including facilitated stretching and CPR/First Aid.

Amie is also passionate about supporting those in need. She has been actively involved in fundraising and awareness efforts for non-profit organizations including the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
